Nicole Barrett, JD
Senior Policy Analyst
Joining the Platte Institute in April 2008, Nicole brought with her a myriad of applicable experience. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Creighton University School of Law with a concentration in International and Comparative Law and an emphasis in Election Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Bellevue University. Nicole served as the national Student Liaison to the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Election Law, publishing the article, "Learn about Election Law and Get Involved in the Electoral Process," in the Student Lawyer Magazine (Vol. 34, No. 9), May 2006.
Nicole has been involved in varying capacities with over a dozen political campaigns at the local, state and federal levels. Most recently, she was the Southwest Iowa Field Director for the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee. In 2004, Nicole served on President George W. Bush's Roving Legal Team in Sioux City, Iowa. She was also previously employed by the National Right to Life Committee in Washington, D.C.., and owned her own data management company.
Originally from Lincoln, Nicole is single and currently resides in Omaha. She is a member of the Federalist Society, the Republican National Lawyers Association and the Young Professionals Council of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
