Elliott Bottorf is the Director of Development at the Platte Institute.
In this role, Elliott quarterbacks development initiatives as the Platte Institute continues to prosper, facilitating new and existing relationships with the Institute’s donors and partners, and implementing emerging marketing technology systems to support strategic growth.
Prior to his position at the Platte Institute, Elliott was the Press Secretary and Digital Director for Nebraska’s Second Congressional District, U.S. Representative Don Bacon. He played a pivotal role in directing communications and building awareness of Bacon’s first time bid for election.
A native son of Sutton, Nebraska, Elliott is a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and International Business, participated in an internship with then-Senator Chuck Hagel, and spent a summer studying international economics abroad at Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
Elliott enjoys travelling, exploring local craft brews, and long romantic walks down the aisles of Target. His community activities include serving on the board of directors for the Nebraska Shrine Bowl and extensive involvement in fraternal groups. He lives in Omaha, Nebraska, with his wife Brittany, daughter Brynley, and their pet guppy Molly.
