Albert Gustafson | Policy Intern

Albert Gustafson is a 2017 Policy Intern at the Platte Institute by way of the Koch Internship Program.  He conducts research with other staff at the Platte Institute on the impact of Nebraska’s tax and regulatory policies on jobs and income growth.

Albert is a rising senior at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, where he majors in economics, political science, and humanities.  Outside of academic life, Albert leads IWU’s chapter of the Association of International Relations as its president and writes about issues in public policy and human flourishing in his blogs, Mostly Political and Mostly Markets.  He also volunteers for a local group in downtown Marion dedicated to economic revitalization on shrinking small town America’s Main Streets.

Although he is from Des Moines, Iowa and his alma mater is in Indiana, Albert is eager to call Omaha his home as part of his internship and experience Nebraska’s Good Life.
